Michael Andrew Fox, who was professionally known as Michael J Fox, was having a bit of trouble falling asleep. He wasn't sure why, though. He loved his life a lot, and he was very well-liked. He had very few enemies, in fact - as it was rather hard for anyone to not like Michael J Fox. It was as if Mike had an aura of energy surrounding him that would melt even the coldest of hearts and soothe the most restless of souls. He had such a warm and inviting personality, that he could put anyone at ease.
Mike decided to crawl out of bed, and grab a little something to eat. He was wearing nothing nothing but his blue boxer shorts, as it was pretty warm in his house. As he opened the door the led out of his bedroom, he was shocked by what he saw. He found himself standing in a beautiful countryside, and there were flowers of all kinds surrounding him. There were birds and butterflies flying around everywhere, and the birds were all chirping beautifully, creating sweet harmony together.
As Mike took a few steps forward, he suddenly discovered that there were two other people who bore his same resemblances. It was almost as though Mike was looking into a mirror. Mike gasped in shocked, wondering where his look-alikes came from?
"Who are you?" asked the look-alike who had the red boxer shorts on.
"Where did you two come from?" asked the other look-alike, who was wearing black boxer shorts. "How did I get here?"
"You're just as shocked as I am," Mike said, smiling. "I was having trouble sleeping, so I decided to head to the kitchen to grab a little snack."
"My name is Marty McFly," explained the young man wearing the red boxer shorts. "I had trouble sleeping, too. I am unsure of what brought me over here. I am amazed at how much you both look like me. Although, granted, it's really not the first time I meet people who look just like me."
"I am Alex P Keaton," explained the other young man. Then, turning to Marty, Alex said, "I must say, Marty, it's quite nice to see you again. I'm still not sure how I got here, but it is really nice to see you."
"Whoa!" Mike breathed, with astonishment. "You're Marty McFly and Alex P Keaton? I am Michael J Fox! I don't get how we can all be here together."
"It's so nice to see you, Michael J Fox," Marty gushed, smiling. "I am such a big fan of yours. You're my favourite actor - and not just because we look alike, either."
"Thank you," Mike replied, warmly. "Just call me Mike, though."
"I really admire you a lot, too, Mike," Alex added, with a smile. "Marty and I already met each other a few times. It's so nice to be able to meet you, too."
"You know, where I come from," Mike said, quietly, "you are both rather prominent characters that I am often associated with. I wonder what brought us all together."
"I have no idea," Marty said, shrugging. "Let's lie down for awhile, though. This is so beautiful here. This feels so much like paradise, you know. Everything here is, well, it's so beautiful. I mean, listen to the birds singing."
"Maybe this is paradise," Mike said, smiling. He then lay on the nice soft grass.
After some time, Marty sat on top of Mike's torso - as he and Mike stared, intentively, into those slate blue eyes. The two of them then smiled their identical lopsided smiles, as Marty ran his finger along the dimple in Mike's left cheek.
Mike then felt someone lifting up his legs, then bracing his ankles tightly. Suddenly, he felt some fingers running up and down the soles of his feet, as Mike burst out laughing helplessly.
"Haha, Mike!" Alex said, smirking. "You have such lovely ticklish feet, and you can't get away from me. You know, I could tickle these soles for a long time."
"Don't worry, Alex," Marty said. "I'll make sure Mike can't move. You should see the way he's laughing. He has such a pretty laugh, and it's such a joy to watch."
Mike felt a bit helpless, and tears filled his eyes. He had to admit that he really liked the endorphins that were being released into his system. As Alex ran his fingers into Mike's arches, Mike just laughed all the more. As unbearable as it was, Mike had to admit that he loved being tickled in the arches. Alex continued to run his fingers up and down the soles of Mike's feet for about three more minutes, until he stopped.
"All right, now!" called out Mike, as he was panting a bit. "It's revenge time! After all, it is only fair that I get you guys, too."
After Marty finally finally sat up, releasing Mike, Mike and Alex gently pushed Marty to the ground. Alex then sat on Marty's torso, while Mike sat at by Marty's feet, and he wrapped his left arm around the ankles, while Mike used his right hand to tickle the soles of Marty's feet. Mike smiled to himself, as revenge tasted sweet.
"Are you enjoying yourself, Marty?" Mike asked, teasingly. "Oh, I am having so much fun with this. I could do this for a long time."
"Let's just keep this to five minutes," suggested Alex, "because that's how long I tickled you. Anyway, I really love watching Marty laugh."
"Yeah, the sound of his laughter is music to my ears," Mike agreed, smiling.
Mike smiled widely, as he ran his fingers into the arches of Marty's feet. It was fun to be on the giving side of the tickle torture, for once. After about another three minutes of tormenting Marty's soles, Mike reluctantly decided that it was time to quit.
After Alex stood up, releasing Marty, Mike and Marty then gently pushed Alex to the ground. Mike sat on Alex's torso. As Mike look deep into Alex's slate blue eyes, they were suddenly smiling at each other. Mike ran his finger along the dimple in Alex's left cheek, as Alex laughed a little bit.
Mike smiled, as Alex suddenly burst out laughing. Mike realized how lovely it was to see Alex laughing. Alex's laughter was very captivating, and Mike watched on - with such glee. It was hard to feel any pity for Alex, when his laughter was so captivating.
After about five minutes, Marty finally stopped tickling the soles of Alex's feet. The three of then all lay side-by-side with each other. Mike felt such euphoria.
"So, Mike," Marty asked, quietly, "what is it like to be a very famous actor?"
"It feels nice," Mike replied, "even though auditions can be a real pain. I get along with everyone on the cast of Family Ties. I really hate to say this, but I sometimes feel that I'm closer to Michael Gross - then I did with my real father."
"Oh, why is that?" Marty asked, stunned. "I do remember feeling a little embarrassed of my father, in the original timeline, when he was such a wimp. I have to say that I now regret that I felt that way. I should have had more sympathy for him."
"I love my dad, a lot," added Alex. "We may disagree on a lot of things, and I always felt that I could confide in him, and that he cares about all of us deeply. My parents say that I am sometimes too hard on myself, so they help me to feel that it's okay to be imperfect. I guess I am sometimes too much of an overacheiver."
"I have that same problem, too," commented Mike. "I never was a judgemental type of person, and I'm not one to find fault in other people. However, I sometimes feel a little insecure in myself. There are times when I feel like I feel like I am not all that I could be. Granted, I very rarely ever get yelled at - but I sometimes feel that I don't quite live up to the expectations that the public has of me."
"I hope to become a rock star, someday," commented Marty. "I wonder if I might have the same problem, too. I guess there are drawback that come with fame, is that right? Like, for instance, you feel like you are under constant pressure?"
"That's about the size of it," Mike replied. "I was brought up being taught to respect one another, and to always remain polite. So I try not to let fame get to my head. I might be a famous actor, but I'm really no better than the average Joe. In the end, we are all just human beings, with our shortcomings."
"I hope to never be accused of being arrogant," Marty said, sighing. "I mean, I hate that stereotype of how celebrities can be so arrogant and conceited."
"Yeah, so do I," Mike replied. "I myself have encountered scorn from people who think I'm not as worthy as they are, and I hate to become that kind of person."
"Hey, Mike," Alex said, "you still didn't tell us why you feel closer to Michael Gross, than you do to your own father. Michael Gross is the actor who plays my father?"
"That's right," Mike replied. "Well, my father was in the military - so he wasn't always able to be with the family. He also disapproved of a lot of my activities. Sometimes, I felt as if I just couldn't please my father - so I kinda gave up trying."
"I guess this makes me appreciate the father I have," Alex commented. "As I said before, we may disagree on many things, but he does accept me as I am."
"That's good," Mike replied. "You know, I really hate feeling this way about my father - because I know that he really does love me, and I love him too. I suppose I should maybe give him a call, and see what's up."
"That's a good idea, Mike," Marty said, smiling. "You should never take your parents for granted. After all, they may not always around. I know, from experience."
"You're right," Mike agreed. "I am currently playing the lead star in a movie, where my sister's relationship with her mother is strained - and I'm the one trying to keep peace and harmony in the family. I even wrote a song for the movie."
"Oh, yeah," Marty replied, "and your sister is played by Joan Jett?"
"That's right," Mike said. "In the movie, our mother gets ovarian cencer - and Patti has to reconcile with our mother, before it's too late. I almost feel like crying right now, thinking of what it would be like to lose my mother."
As the trio continued to talk, Mike couldn't help but think of how unusual the experience was. The two characters that have boosted his acting career have actually come to life.
"Well, good luck with the movie," Marty commented, after some time. "I can hardly wait to watch it."
"Thank you so much, Marty," Mike replied, as he tightly hugged Marty. Mike then threw his arms around Marty, and hugged him tightly.
"You're very welcome, Mike," Marty replied, as he hugged back.
Mike then turned to hug Alex, as he said, "Good luck with your future. I hope you do end up getting that position at Wall Street, someday."
"Yeah, thanks for the good wishes, Mike," Alex replied, as he hugged Mike back.
Mike watched on, as Marty and Alex hugged each other. Tears filled Mike's eyes, as he realized he would have to leave soon. He may never see Marty or Alex again.
"Take care, you guys!" Mike called out, as he was trying not to cry.
"Yeah, you, too," Marty replied. Marty looked to be holding back tears.
Suddenly, all three of them threw their arms around each other - as they all began to cry. It was very hard to say good bye. Mike only knew them for about an hour, but it seemed like he knew them forever. After all, he had played both of them.
After five minutes, Mike lifted up his tear-stained face, and he whispered, "Good bye, all of you! Take good care of yourselves."
After Mike wiped his eyes with the back of his hand, he took one more look around his surroundings. He stepped back into his bedroom. Mike crawled back into his bed, and he soon fell asleep.
